We stayed at Travelodge Dongdaemun Seoul for 4 days and 3 nights. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
The hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to bus stops, the subway, and the airport limousine bus pickup/drop-off point. The surrounding area is also relatively quiet and less crowded, which made our stay more relaxing. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our visit.
On the downside, the room could have been cleaner. We noticed some mold in the restroom, which could be improved through better maintenance. It would also be more hygienic if the hotel provided plastic liners for the garbage bins in the rooms.
Despite these issues, the location and excellent service from the staff made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
I stayed here again because my previous stay was great. The location is excellent and very convenient for going anywhere in Seoul. The area is quiet, which made the stay very comfortable. There is also a convenience store nearby, which was very helpful. The water pressure in the shower was strong as well. I would definitely stay here again.
Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel is well located and easy to get around, with both bus stops and metro stations just a few minutes’ walk away.
Our rate did not include breakfast, but we tried it once. The price was 11,000 KRW, which we felt was a bit expensive. That said, the breakfast selection was fairly decent for a 3-star hotel.
Room cleaning was included; however, whenever we needed something (for example, when the bins were full), we had to go down to reception to request a cleaner, which we found a bit unusual.
The staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel also has a laundry room,( 3,000KRW + 3,000KRW for the dryer) which was easy to use, and a vending machine where you can purchase washing powder for 1,000 KRW.
We stayed on the 20th (top) floor. The room size was okay, and the view was really nice.
The hotel can assist with T-money cards, but top-ups can only be done using cash.
The hotel is located closely to a metro station entry, thus making it easy to reach any part of the city. Also, 100m from a Airport Bus stop, which makes it very easy reach. The room was rather small, but I was alone. The amount of shower gel provided for the 6 day stay was barely enough. Regarding cleanless upon arrival it was perfect. However, there is no daily clean, only one every 3 days, and only includes taking out garbage, providing water bottles (2 every round of cleaning), changing towels and making bed. Unfortunately, in my case, when the service was requested on the 4th day, the bed was not made when I arrived. The breakfast is satisfatory, but for western patterns, its a bit on the simple side. In any case, I enjoyed my stay and the staff was very supporting.
The room itself is not bad at all. You’ll need outlet/plug adapters if you’re from another country. The service is just okay, we requested towels and they said yea come get them in the lobby. every other hotel i’ve been to just brings you some every day without having to request them. There’s also no ice machine or water dispenser, and it’s a far walk from the important subways. Also if you plan to do laundry, there’s only one washer and one dryer for all 26 floors to share. And the washing machine was broken when we were there, but there’s coin laundry down the street. On the bright side there’s a convenience store right next to it which is very good. Overall not bad, but it’s not that cheap either so maybe weigh your options.
