Toyoko Inn Seoul Yeongdeungpo

Stayed here during my trip to Seoul and had a pleasant experience. The location is convenient with two different train lines nearby, making it easy to get around the city. The hotel staff can communicate well in English, which made things very smooth. The room standard is also very similar to their hotels in Japan, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Overall a reliable and comfortable stay.

I usually stay in Dongdaemun, but since it was fully booked, I tried this Toyoko Inn for two nights. It turned out to be a great choice!

From Gimpo Airport, only about 19,000 KRW by taxi. You can also take Subway Line 5 directly for just 1,550 KRW.

If you take a train, about a 5-minute walk from Singil Station. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it’s very convenient.

The hotel was lively with many tourists. It’s wonderful to experience the exact same "Toyoko Inn quality" in Seoul as you do in Japan.

I stayed in a single room (about 12㎡), but it felt a bit smaller than the ones in Japan. There was hardly enough space to fully open my suitcase. Next time, I’ll definitely book a slightly larger room.

Overall, I’d love to stay here again for a private trip!

Have been staying in different Toyoko inn branches for many times, the front desk staff here (the lady who was on duty on 30 May in early morning) is the most rude staff I've ever met. Rolling eyes, tapping the desk, what a 'wonderful' attitude. After reading the google reviews, it's interesting that I'm not the first customer who have this awful experience.
Apparently there is no service enhanced training for the staff.
There are 4 elevators, but they run separately. It took forever to get to ground during rush hour.
I won't stay in Toyoko Inn overseas branches again even I'm a Toyoko Inn loyal customer as the service isn't align with the local one.

Not bad for short stay while you visit Seoul. Not for the first timer travelers because too far from center city
But this hotel was good like others Toyoko inn hotel branch in South Korea
Place between 2 big subway, use KTX Yeongdongpo st or intersection subway 1 and 5 Singil st. Hotel provides free breakfast 7-9.30am at 2nd floor. Free coffee and tea, hot water, bar soap, face foam-toner-lotions all for free in lobby area. Eco cleaning everyday if you want. I prefer just hang the tags and they will hang free and fresh water bottles and towels in the door. Breakfast not like in Busan branch, they don’t have hot chocolate and don’t cook odeng every day

Great location! Singil station is right next to the hotel and Yeongdeungpo station isn’t far either. Super easy to get around by bus too, and Times Square Mall is just a short walk away.

The rooms are small but fine if you’re solo. The bed is a bit hard, not the most comfy, but the room has AC and if you’re on a higher floor you get a nice view. The only annoying thing is the elevators, coming down from the 18th floor they stop on every floor where someone called it, so it takes a while. Wi-Fi also gets a bit weak sometimes up there.

Breakfast is okay, the room feels a bit small for the morning rush and there’s more Asian-style food than Western, but it does the job. The staff speak English and are really friendly. There’s also a laundry room, but no detergent provided, so you’ll need to buy some. Luckily, there’s a CU convenience store right next to the hotel which is super handy.

Overall, a decent place if you’re looking for something practical and well-located in Seoul.
