Toyoko Inn Daejeon Government Complex

Very clean, big, nice hotel. The breakfast is mostly Korean which I like, but the coffee machine is outdated and didn’t give any coffee the two days I went. Also, the breakfast stops at 9am sharp. Would be convenient if it was a bit longer. Can occur very big queue. There is laundry machines and dryer in the ground floor with coin use which was amazingly convenient for a backpacker like me. The cleaning everyday was spotless, generally speaking the hotel is very well managed and maintained. The bathroom is a kind of plastic capsule you can find in super cheap hotels in Europe but at least it’s very clean and working well. I had a smoking room as the hotel was fully booked but I knew it at the time of booking and the cleaning was done very well, thus very tiny smoke smell in the room.

Stayed here two weeks to visit the inlaws in December. We stayed in the suite with separate room which had LG styler and a kitchen. You can buy most of the toiletries from vending machine and they give you a robe just like japanese spa. Best part of this place is the breakfast which runs from 6:30am-9:30am. You get the full korean breakfast experience every single day. Definitely would come back.

Toyoko Inn Daejeon is honestly a great deal for the price. I tried both the double and the single, and I still recommend the single room,, the lighting was noticeably better.
It’s a 2-star hotel, so don’t expect perfect soundproofing, but everything else was solid and well maintained. The hairdryer is modern and works really well (a rare win at budget hotels).

Free amenities were generous: tea, soap, skincare sachets, and breakfast. They also have coin laundry onsite (washing machine 2,000 won and dryer 1,000 won, which is super convenient). Another nice touch: pajamas are available on the 1st floor, right in front of the elevator.

The location/area is a big plus too: quiet at day and night, but still very convenient, with plenty of good food nearby, plus a convenience store, Olive Young, and even clinics within easy reach. Would stay again.

Geared primarily toward domestic guests, this hotel isn’t quite equipped for international travelers. The 9:00 AM breakfast cutoff creates a frantic, cafeteria-style atmosphere in the dining room. If you’re visiting from abroad, you may want to look elsewhere.

Breakfast great. Clean, quiet and efficient.
