Disappointing location and bathroom facilities
The hotel was just okay, nothing special. The location is quite poor and inconvenient for tourists who want to explore. The food served was very basic and average in taste. My biggest issue was the bathroom—the drainage system is terrible, causing the toilet floor to easily flood every time after taking a shower. They really need to fix the plumbing issues.
Food for breakfast was terrible. I saw the guy who screamed at a woman who has 2 little kids because she took a little of yakults for her kids for to go. I know that she didn't follow the rule do not take food for to go. But that guy who working in the kitchen was yell at her. That wasn't a big deal . Just tell her that is not acceptable. Don't have to scream and yell at her in front of many people. So shameful. I feel bad for her and her children. Bad service👎
Please, please - do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay in this hotel. There is nothing good about it.
LOCATION - It is located in a small, family neighborhood. There is absolutely nothing to do outside the hotel except visit a grocery store or convenience store. If you want to eat at a restaurant or take a subway, you need to walk at least 15 minutes. On top of that, the people/workers in this area are NOT friendly, which doesn't surprise me as it's not a tourist area. The hotel has these giant tour busses that come and go, but they are driving down these tiny two way streets. They can't maneuver very well and were always blocking traffic. The locals didn't seem to like that because people were constantly honking their horns at the tour busses. It starts at about 6:30am. You can hear it from inside your hotel room. Also, it is located next to a small electricity power station. There is a giant electrical tower that rises up from behind the hotel. It's an eyesore.
ROOMS - Cold, hard, concrete boxes, with mold, broken fixtures, leaky showers, and uncomfortable beds. The only good part is that it makes you want to be outside doing things all day. The linen looked clean, but I didn't sleep well as I was too worried there could be bed bugs crawling all over me.
STAFF - The staff were the only halfway decent thing about this hotel. They were nice and friendly. When I asked for extra towels, they brought them right away and were very polite. However, I had trouble communicating with them in English, and when I asked them questions about things to do around the hotel, they were not very informative.
I’m quite disappointed with the service. Most of hotels provide two pillows per person and are still willing to offer extra upon request. Here, only provide 1 pillow/person, even a basic request for one additional pillow was refused. Since I have acid reflux and need more support to sleep comfortably, this was quite inconvenient. This is a very simple and reasonable need, especially for guests with health conditions. Such inflexibility significantly affected my comfort during the stay.
This hotel was included in my tour package. Had I been booking on my own, I would not have chosen to stay here.
Guests with health conditions who need higher pillow support, or those who prefer sleeping with more pillows, should consider this before booking.
I’d give this hotel zero star if I could.
The room we stayed wasn’t even up to the standards of a four-star hotel. It was snowing outside but the air conditioning was completely non-functional leaving the room freezing cold throughout the night as well. The interior was also very poor, especially the bathroom. No matter how careful you are with the shower, it floods the entire bathroom – a design flaw. How could a 4-star hotel allow this to happen?
The room was incredibly noisy. Soundproofing was clearly inadequate and we heard all sorts of noise throughout the night. We even heard the hotel cleaners washing the bed sheets and towels in one of the rooms. Our toilet was leaking and very smelly too.
Breakfast is also terrible. Coffee has no choice but to be sugary and it’s unbelievable we can’t have black coffee. The coffee was undrinkable. Furthermore, the breakfast served only to Asians style, no western breakfast— no yoghurt, omelettes and fried eggs, etc.
This isn’t a 4-star hotel as they claimed; it’s worse than any 2-star hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
Absolutely NOT recommend.
