Hotel Onoma, Daejeon, Autograph Collection

I really enjoyed my stay at this property, it was clean, in a great location with great views. It was also very affordable so I was able to get 3 rooms for our family of 4. I also got an upgrade on my room type for being a platinum member. The only reason for the 4 rating instead of 5 is the miscommunication that kept occurring during my 4 day stay at the hotel. Because of my stay at the Fairmont, and JW hotel on my 18 day vacation I was expecting the staff members to be bilingual but everything kept getting lost in translation. Front desk was good but I had a hard time communicating with staff members at the gym, restaurant and housekeeping. After a few attempts I gave up and had to move on. Especially after they just kept nodding and smiling as if they understood what I was saying only to find out that they had no clue( especially at the gym). I learned to take care of my own needs at this property which is somewhat off putting.

Nice modern hotel in Daejeon by the river. A part of Marriott chain. Nice cosy cafe on ground floor and has a nice bar at 7th floor. Rooms are nice and breakfast is quite decent. Attached to the mall so convenient to shop and eat outside too.

Stayed here for 4 nights in November 2025 (thanks to Marriott Bonvoy points I got from one of their affiliated credit cards). Very satisfied with the service and amenities at this hotel. The bridge over to the Shinsegae Department Store is a nice bonus because they have a lot of good places to eat there! The breakfast buffet at the hotel was ok, not great. Would definitely stay here again though!

While this hotel offers a prime location, the staff performance and cleanliness standards were unsatisfactory. The windows were notably unclean, and the shower area had a strong sewer odor. I would not classify this as a five-star establishment; it aligns more with a three-star rating. Parking is challenging due to shared facilities with an adjacent department store, and I recommend utilizing the valet service. The overall experience was extremely below my expectations.

The receptionist at the entrance gate was very helpful to use a Kakao taxi app which require the exact pickup location. I appreciate for this friendly welcoming receptionist for her kindness.
