HOTEL NANTA

The hotel has everything from a convenience store to a restaurant to HEATED smart toilets!! Also, given I can to hike up Hallasan, it is very close to the Gwaneumsa trail head and is actually quite a bit above sea level. There’s also hikes from the back of the hotel.

They have small gyms, no pools
Superb scenery,

Rooms are quite big, rooms temperature are decent.

Like other hotel in S.Korea they have no amenities.

Shower temperature can be adjusted accordingly.

Some tips :
Bus 441 operating hours (in front of the hotel ) are shorter.

Male reception can be more informatives since its a 4 stars hotel at least. ( Some other smaller hotel reception we stayed in are more fluent in English ) and little bit politer.

Summary :
Great hotel to stay in, cozy rooms

The service here is really disappointing. I came here with my 7 Yr son. When we enter the hotel, they saw my son and I are carrying luggages, nobody came and help.

My son was excited when he saw the private pool outside the room. He jumped in straight away. When I was getting him ready to shower, noticed that there wasn't any toiletries provided. I wanted to go to down to buy the toiletries, realized that they only gave me 1 room card. I am stuck as my son needs the light in the room where he was inside the toilet.

Managed to get to get all these things settled. Then realized that their fridge wasn't cold at all where we bought 2 packets of milk earlier on. Tried to call the receptionist, they couldn't understand us.

It is really very disappointing as I don't think it is the way to preserve the environment where there is a working fridge, but not cold (not serving it purpose), have a convenient store downstairs selling all the disposable toiletries. Isn't it creating more waste for the environment?

For the short traveller like that, we won't bring home the remaining toiletries. I would suggest providing those big bottle toiletries for guests usage. And also ensure all the appliances work and serve its function properly rather than trying to cut cost!

Btw, they actually set the air con to a
certain temperature. When they misunderstood us on the fridge issue, they lowered our air-con temperature to 18C instead 😢 then now it is perpetually 18C

I stayed here for just one night, but the service and room condition exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed here for my Mt. Halla trek. I checked out at 5:20 AM and headed to the Seongpanak parking lot — there were several available parking spots at that time. The hotel offers great support for hikers, including useful transportation information and even helping to freeze your water bottles.
