Hotel Golden Daisy Seogwipo Ocean

I chose this hotel because I was looking for the warmest place in Korea, and its location in downtown Seogwipo seemed good. Agoda listed it as a 4-star hotel, but honestly it felt more like a 3-star. The room had a nice view of Seopseom Island and the size was decent. However, there were very few lights, so it was uncomfortably dark in the evening. Housekeeping was done well every day, but the carpet wasn’t cleaned. The breakfast was just average for the hotel price.

We had a great stay at the hotel! Very convenient location, close to bus stops and good restaurants. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the hotel offers a good breakfast. The rooms are clean and the view to the ocean was amazing.

Rooms are okay. Not excellent. Basic abit old. Breakfast spread was satisfying. You get local food such as noodle soup, stir fried pork bulgogi, abalone porridge, American breakfast spread, salads, etc. overall was a pleasant stay.

​I had an extremely disappointing stay at Hotel Golden Daisy. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that cleanliness is not a priority here. The room was visibly dirty—I found stray hairs on the pillow, a used band-aid left in the bathroom, and the carpet looked unkempt and poorly maintained.

​The low point of the stay, however, was the appalling service. On my second night, I returned to my room after room service had been in, only to find the toilet bowl filled to the brim with water. It was completely non-functional, despite it working perfectly fine when I left in the morning.

​When I called the front desk for assistance, I was shocked by their response. Instead of sending maintenance to fix the issue, the staff simply handed me a plunger and told me to do it myself. I hadn't even clogged the toilet, yet I was expected to do the "dirty work" that the hotel should have handled.

​Pros: None.
Cons: Filthy rooms, unhygienic bathrooms, and staff that expect guests to perform their maintenance.
​Verdict: Save your money and stay elsewhere in Seogwipo. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Love the location & the front desk is really friendly :) not sure why they keep missing up the number of towels over our 4 night stay but there is so much good food and attractions nearby! The room and toilet is clean & tidy, no toothbrushes provided tho.
