Considering the overall price, this was a fairly satisfying stay for the area. Service and facilities were both decent, and the hotel felt like a practical option if you are looking for value rather than a luxury-focused experience.
The room and general facilities were acceptable, and the stay was smooth overall. Given that prices in Korea can feel relatively high for travelers, I thought this hotel offered reasonable value for money as long as expectations are kept realistic.
One advantage is that it is convenient for visiting places around Bukhansan, so the location may work well depending on your itinerary. That said, it is a bit farther from central Seoul, so it may not be the best choice if you want to stay close to the main tourist districts.
The surrounding area feels more residential and local, with a quieter atmosphere compared with the city center. There was less to explore on foot nearby, but for a simple and functional stay, it does the job.
Overall, a solid choice for travelers who care more about practicality and budget than a highly curated hotel experience.
Overall, 2.5 stars but I’m rounding up to 3, as rounding down to 2 seems unfair.
The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows inconsistent and rough, and the duvets were far too thick. The window opening as wide as it does was a nice touch, and needed due to the underfloor heating - which for some reason isn’t an option. You can’t turn it off, which completely ruins your sleep! Wouldn’t have been bad if you could use the air con, but it’s there purely to tease you.
Buffet is very varied and is of a decent quality. The yoghurts tasted fresh, the bread was dense but moist, and the fish was flavourful.
The lifts can be problematic when a coach drops the next board in, or during breakfast time. For some reason, it sometimes deselects the floor you wanted to go to, so you have to do every floor twice, with idiots trying to squeeze into a clearly full lift.
The CU convenience store is a wonderful touch! Well stocked with a great variety of stock, no complaints whatsoever there. The honey chicken was unreal!
The shower at times wasn’t as hot as we would like. It also had to be held in place as it wasn’t fixed on correctly. The towels were very small, so rethinking that would help too.
The cleaners aren’t particularly fantastic though. Many times we noticed dust remaining, parts of the floor not cleaned, and towels not changed when needed.
each floor has these deceptive little side balconies, which contained used cigarettes that weren’t cleared in the 2 weeks we were there - however we were informed it was a non-smoking area in these outbuildings, which is quite a waste as I didn’t fancy trekking 20 floors (potentially hitting Chinese traffic) just for a vape break.
Location wasn’t amazing, it was very out the way of everything else being south of the river, but there was a good variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Then again, virtually all of Seoul has everything that was here.
This hotel i guess it's only for tour group booking and they have a lot of tour booking here, as there's always a lot of tourist bus outside n big group in the morning for breakfast. With this reason, they do not care about the service. The front desk guys are all unfriendly with black face all the time and are so rude. I was only asking questions about my room, which was booked under a guide. The problem might be created by the guide (to be verified also if it was really the guide problem), but the front desk could have explain it in a nice way or manage it in a proper way. The reply could be " NO! THIS IS HOTEL POLICY!" And another guy, seems to be a manager (as the lady, whom actually had better attitude asked him to help n explained) could even said "it's either u go back to your room or u call your guide, I am not going to help u". I was like its not my fault n im asking it in a nice way to check. N he could have explained to me rather than said that rude to me. Should I deserve such a bad attitude and service. I would say at least the lady who behaved in a nicer way.
In summary, this is a bad service hotel. Think twice before u book.
Washroom floods after showers and they charge extra for a extra pillow? 2 adults and a child staying in a twin room and they want to charge extra when i ask them for an extra pillow …had to use all their towels to make a path for me to brush my teeth
The best part of this hotel 🏨 is the luxury it offers, the wide spread of breakfast 🍞 options, although for vegetarians 🌱 there are limited options but still better than other places we had been to!
The rooms are spacious, the shower gel omggg it’s dammm good 🫰🏻🫰🏻🫰🏻
The only only drawback is the location, it’s really far from all the major attractions of and nearby Seoul. We had to commute almost 2-3 hours daily, mostly stuck in traffic but also because the hotel 🏨 is situated in another corner of the city 😒
