Aank Hotel Incheon Guwol, Incheon

Nowhere on the hotel's website, nor on any third-party booking platform, does it state that guests with tattoos are prohibited from using the sauna facilities. The primary reason my friend and I booked this hotel was to enjoy the facilities before our flight, so discovering this policy only upon arrival was extremely disappointing.

Unfortunately, the front desk staff showed little interest in resolving the issue. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience or attempting to find a reasonable solution, the interaction felt dismissive and defensive. While we were given breakfast vouchers, this did not address the actual problem or compensate for the experience we had paid for.

The policy itself feels outdated, particularly for a hotel that caters largely to international travellers. Excluding people based on tattoos is discriminatory and out of touch with modern social norms. We even observed other guests entering the facilities despite visible facial piercings and having been smoking outside moments earlier, making the enforcement of this policy seem arbitrary and inconsistent.

To make matters worse, our stay was far from comfortable. A loud vibration could be felt throughout the building every few minutes, making it difficult to sleep. The rooms were also far more basic than the photos suggest, with poor sound insulation and constant noise from surrounding guests.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We loved this Hotel. Clean, friendly, comfortable and great breakfast!

They are upgrading all the rooms and they are sleek and spacious. Loved the bathroom especially the shower and all the soaps and lotions. Beds were comfortable and fresh.

The area is fantastic being 2 blocks from Incheon Line 1 and so many great places to eat!

Read complaints about the breakfast but were extremely happy with the variety of food and the quality.

We rank on bases of class and this is an excellent 2 star hotel....we would definitely return.

Me and my friend arrived after a 2 hour journey for a 2 night stay, we are not covered in tattoo’s however they are fairly visible.

It does not state on any 3rd party booking sites nor on their websites that people with tattoos are restricted to use their facilities. As you can imagine this came as quite a shock?

The man at the desk was anything but helpful very hostile and asked us to wait somewhere else to serve another customer. No compassion, no customer service about the fact we were mis lead when submitting this booking.

You need to change/add this when people make bookings through 3rd party companies or you need to have this stated on your company website that anyone with tattoos will not be aloud access. Its a pretty outdated rule and going on discrimination as it made me and my friend feel we are less worthy to use pretty standard facilities.

Poor service and will not be recommending this chain.

I will definitely check in this hotel again when I visit Incheon. Simple, hassle -free check in ... and the price is so affordable, I couldn't believe it especially after seeing the size and cleanliness of the room. Great location with cafes around, so no problem with dining choices. There's a 7-11 & G24 nearby also.

The double room was quite large and okay. However, the cleanliness was borderline; upon closer inspection, it was noticeable that some areas hadn't been cleaned in a while. Unfortunately, the toilet didn't have any function buttons, as is common in Korea.

The breakfast was meager; there weren't even glasses for the juice. The coffee machine was broken; there was only instant coffee. The selection itself was also poor. I wouldn't book the hotel again.
